Sustainability Driven

What is TIP?

Formed in 2005, the Tire Industry Project (TIP) is the tire industry’s primary global forum on sustainability topics. Operating under the umbrella of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, we are a voluntary, CEO-led initiative that brings together 10 leading tire companies that represent more than 60 percent of the world’s tire manufacturing capacity.

We aim to be a leading and trusted source of knowledge on the potential human and environmental impacts of tires through their lifecycle. We proactively drive research to where we think it is most relevant and where findings can be most impactful.

Our goal? To demonstrate leadership, apply our creativity, share our knowledge and provide innovative solutions to achieve a sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.

A Roadmap for a resilient future

This Roadmap represents TIP's framework for action and outlines impactful pathways for the entire sector to contribute to the ambitions of the SDGs. The Roadmap aims to guide, inform and support decision-making along the value chain, encourage stakeholder dialogue and inspire action-oriented initiatives among industry peers and beyond.

Our goal? To demonstrate leadership, apply our creativity, share our knowledge and provide innovative solutions to achieve a sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.
